Meet Jen Gibb, Your Garden Specialist

Living on Vancouver Island, I grew up loving the outdoors with an immense passion for exploring nature. I prefer being outside, sitting by the ocean, or hiking in the forest with the plants, animals, and bugs. Nature fascinates me. I enjoy creating, inventing, painting abstract landscapes, and playing in the dirt with my dog.

The best part about growing up in Qualicum Beach on a small hobby farm was all the different animals and our huge garden. Since the age of 5, it was my job to water plants and help care take gardens in the community, I loved it. We were fairly self sufficient back then. Learning to harvest, process, and store food for the winter. This gave me the knowledge of knowing the importance of good health, and I enjoyed learning about it. I’m so thankful to have been taught a fantastic work ethic from so early in life. This led me to studying Holistic Nutrition through Alive Academy.

After completing my studies, I decided to start my own business doing what I loved and Beyond the Fence was born. Owning and operating Beyond the Fence has been a wonderful experience. Thanks to my hard work, my business has been well received by new and long term customers for over 20 years.
